Individual therapy is a joint process between a therapist and an individual person in therapy. Common goals of therapy can be to inspire change or improve quality of life. People may seek therapy for help with issues that are hard to face alone. Individual therapy is also called therapy, psychotherapy, psychosocial therapy, talk therapy, and counselling. Individual therapy can help people overcome obstacles to their well-being. It can increase positive feelings, such as compassion and self-esteem. People in therapy can learn skills for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions, and reaching goals. Many find they enjoy the therapeutic journey of becoming more self-aware. Some people even go to ongoing therapy for self-growth and validation. This therapy is offered for individuals looking to put in the time and effort to work on themselves.

Loren Harssar is a Toronto-born and raised intuitive healer of many disciplines. For the past 15 years, she has focused her life on her spiritual journey of healing herself and her past traumas and along this process, discovering her ability to not only heal herself but to help with the process of healing others as well. Loren received her formal training in art therapy and psychotherapy at TATI, has trained in EMDR and hypnosis, and received her 500-hour yoga teacher training.

Loren’s approach to therapy is based on the philosophy that we are all survivors of varying degrees of trauma and uses a very holistic and person-centred approach. She combines elements of CBT, hypnosis, EFT tapping, EMDR, and communication coaching to help you live a happier life by working towards healing the fragmented parts of yourself.
